Legacy Plans (CCBill & DeviantArt)

If you subscribed to BetterWaifu before we switched to Stripe billing, you may be on a "legacy" plan.

What is a Legacy Plan?

Legacy plans were purchased through our previous payment processors:

• CCBill — our first billing provider
• DeviantArt — subscription through DeviantArt's platform

These plans often included perks like unlimited credits that are no longer available on new plans.

Is DeviantArt Billing Still Available?

No. DeviantArt billing has been discontinued. If you were subscribed through DeviantArt, you'll need to subscribe through our new Stripe billing system at betterwaifu.com/subscription.

How Do I Cancel a Legacy Plan?

CCBill

Go to support.ccbill.com and provide your payment method plus two pieces of identifying information (email + subscription ID from your original signup email).

DeviantArt

Go to deviantart.com/betterwaifuai/subscriptions, click the three dots on your plan, and choose Cancel.

I Had Unlimited Credits — Can I Get Them Back?

Legacy unlimited credit plans are no longer offered. However, if your legacy plan lapsed due to a payment issue, contact support — we may be able to help restore your legacy status on a case-by-case basis.

I'm Being Charged on Both Legacy and New Plans

This can happen if your legacy subscription wasn't cancelled before subscribing to a new Stripe plan. See Double Charged for how to resolve this.

My Legacy Plan Ended — What Happens to My Images?

Your images are safe. All generated images remain on your account regardless of subscription status. You just won't be able to generate new ones beyond the free tier limits.

SpectralShieldMask / Payment Name Change

Some users have seen charges from "SpectralShieldMask" instead of "BetterWaifu." This is our parent company name that appears on some payment processors. If your bank flagged this as suspicious, you may need to approve it or contact support for help.
